Acupuncture

Dr. Jennifer Chan practices veterinary acupuncture and is recognized by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Veterinary acupuncture involves using fine needles to stimulate nerves, increase blood flow, relieve muscle spasm and cause a release of hormones (i.e. endorphins). Acupuncture helps to balance the body’s energy system.

Conditions that may benefit from acupuncture include:

  • paralysis or pain resulting from intervertebral disk syndrome or trauma

  • pain caused by hip dysplasia resulting in osteoarthritis

  • arthritis from other causes

  • inappropriate urination by cats

  • gastrointestinal problems

  • ear and eye problems

  • many other conditions

" Please accept our warmest thanks for the expert and compassionate care you provided Bogey. He's his old tail-wagging self, enjoying once again his long walks, ball-throws, and wrestling with new pals on the beach - life is good! Quite simply, we can't thank you enough. "
