Veterinary Referrals
Veterinary referrals are guarantees that your pet will be getting optimal care at a facility we trust and regularly work with. We only offer vet referrals when we are unable to provide the desired service ourselves. To find out which locations we can refer you and your furry companion to, call us at 250.598.4477.
How will the referred doctor know about my pet’s medical history?
With your approval, we will share your pet’s medical history with the referred veterinarian and let them know about any anxieties your pet may have. The more they know, the better they can accommodate your pet.
What if my pet is not comfortable in new places?
We suggest bringing an item your pet loves to their appointment. Depending on the tests or procedure being performed, you’re also welcome to bring snacks to keep them satisfied and calm. Keep your pet on their leash or in their carrier and wait until you’re in the room before releasing them. This will ensure they don’t disrupt the other pets in the facility and that they feel safe close to you.
Will the veterinary office you recommend to me be accessible?
We cannot guarantee other locations are accessible, however we will be able to discuss that with you prior to the recommendation. We will also share any accommodations you and your pet need prior to arriving at the facility.
