The treatment is done in a two-step process. The first phase involves harvesting a small amount of adipose (fat) tissue from the patient and submitting it to the laboratory, where the regenerative cells are extracted and concentrated into an injection. The second step is to inject the cells directly into the affected joint(s) or into the bloodstream.
These cells have the ability to develop into different types of tissue and have been proven to reduce pain and inflammation. The results can last anywhere from 6 months to several years.
