Chiara grew up in Victoria and has had a deep love for animals as long as she can remember! She grew up spending her summers on the Salish Sea whale watching with her father, and doing science experiments in her grandparents' kitchen with her grandfather, a retired biology teacher.
When asked as a child what she wanted to be when she grew up, her answer was a veterinarian. She fell in love with veterinary medicine through watching documentary TV shows and caring for her many childhood pets. She attended Sprott Shaw College's Veterinary Assistant program in 2023 and became a part of the Hillside Team shortly thereafter. Chiara has since found a love for veterinary rehabilitation and plans to further her education in that area.
If you can't find Chiara at Hillside, she is at home playing with her two kittens, Poka and Dot, or going for hikes with her partner and his dog, Drizzt.
