Marina grew up in Victoria and has always had a passion for animal care. From a young age, she was involved in the pony club and spent many years riding and caring for her own horse.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Victoria. During and after her undergraduate studies, Marina spent six years working in a small animal practice, beginning as a veterinary assistant and later training on the job as a veterinary technician.
She went on to earn her veterinary degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Although she loved her time there and would have happily stayed longer, she ultimately chose to return home to British Columbia to be closer to family and friends.
Outside of the clinic, Marina enjoys hiking, swimming in the many lakes around Victoria, and spending quality time with family and friends.
